A fan launched a Kickstarter campaign to provide funding for the third season of Stargate Universe in 2014, however, this goal received no support from anybody involved in its creation, despite raising over $27 million dollars. It is clear that this effort failed to meet that goal, and there is also the chance that even if the money is received, the season will not be renewed.
