Everybody is gonna chant “Pamela” for a few days!! Pamela Anderson is headed to make her Broadway debut in Chicago as Roxie Hart. The Baywatch fame will be featured as Roxie who is the main character of the 1926 play Chicago.
Roxie has been a leading role who murders a man she is having an affair with and this character has been a main role in the entertainment industry.
Pamela Anderson will be playing the role in an eight-week engagement starting from April 12 and ending on June 5 at the Ambassador Theater in N.Y.C.

Anderson said in the press release announcing the casting, “I have always been a huge fan of Bob Fosse’s & Gwen Verdon’s work. Ann Reinking, too. Playing Roxie Hart is a dream fulfilled”.
She added, “Performing Fosse, you don’t have time to get in your head. You can’t dance, sing, and think at the same time. There is a freedom, a unique joy in knowing it’s all about the work. Playing Roxie Hart is a sweet escape for me.”
The character Roxie is one of the leading roles in the whole industry and this role has been played by many top-ranked actresses such as Melanie Griffith, Christie Brinkley, Brooke Shields, and Ashlee Simpson Ross.
These all stunning actresses have been performing since 1975 when Broadway production originated this play in Verdon. Chicago’s film adaptation also became popular and it was Renee Zellweger who starred in the film as Roxie. She acts against Catherine Zeta-Jones who is the rival murderer of Velma Kelly.
The official Instagram account of Chicago The Musical posted this news as “Pamela Anderson as Roxie Hart” with the caption “@Pamelaanderson is joining #ChicagoMusical as Roxie Hart on April 12th! 8 weeks only!”. Many fans and celebrities commented on their happiness under the post. The famous American composer Joe Iconis commented, “Fully onboard. Very excited.”
Anderson has announced that she is also partnered with Netflix for a coming project. The V.I.P alum shared this news last week through her official Instagram account.
