Deathstroke’s experiment is still a huge mystery. It is known that it has altered him physically and emotionally, but in the last Deathstroke Inc. #11 problem, it is revealed that the experiment has damaged him for good.
Created by Ed Brisson, Dexter Soy, Veronica Gandini and Steve Wands, Deathstroke Inc. #11 follows Slade Wilson struggling to rekindle his relationship with his family. The goal of the experiment is to make him the best killer in the world. It also meant shutting down parts of his mind and body that might get in the way of the mission, i.e. emotional attachment. This is done to ensure that the weapon will not feel remorse or hesitation in carrying out orders.
Wilson is not a good person at all, and when he agreed to experiment on him, there was already something different in his mind and body. Some would say it was the way his body prepared for the experience that is truly meant for someone like him.
What happened to Deathstroke after the experiment?
In one account, Deathstroke confesses that he feels the fire in his brain. It’s how her body adapts to the changes and rewires itself to carry her new home. Since the goal of the experiment was to create the perfect weapon capable of wiping out anyone the military wanted, it just didn’t take just the physical body. It was more about the inner workings of the mind, someone who can shoot a gun or swing a sword without feeling pity.
Of course, the consequences are always present. Wilson’s struggle to reconnect with his family gets harder every day. We cannot say if this rupture between him and his family has always been a problem. His wife also noticed Wilson’s changes in attitude towards her and their son.
The conclusion here is that Deathstroke has never been the same since the experience and is now unable to feel any love.
