In a recent horrific car accident in Los Angeles, Anne Heche crashed her vehicle into a house in the Mar Vista neighborhood, starting a huge fire that left her badly burned. She had previously crashed her blue Mini Cooper into a garage, rejected help from onlookers and took off before crashing again. Although she suffered significant burns, she is currently intubated and expected to recover.
American actress Heche is also known for her work as a director and screenwriter. She rose to fame early in her career working with actors like Johnny Depp and Al Pacino in films like “Donnie Brasco” (1997). Additionally, she has acted in a number of well-known movies including “Volcano”, “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, “Six Days, Seven Nights” and “Return to Paradise”. His romance with Ellen DeGeneres in 1997 helped further boost his notoriety. Until 2000, when they decided to stop, everything was fine between them. Although it may seem like she had a life of rainbows and flowers, the reality is quite different. Let’s explore the difficult life of Heche.

Difficult relations with parents and death of siblings
Only one of Heche’s four siblings, Abigail, is still alive. Heche was separated from her sisters Cynthia, who died at birth of a heart defect, and Susan, who died of brain cancer. Nathan, her brother, was killed in a car accident just before he graduated from high school. Heche believes he committed suicide, although this is generally accepted as the primary reason for his death. This was another contributing factor to the irreparable nature of her mother-daughter relationship. Heche claimed she first developed genital herpes as a child in her 2001 autobiography, “Call Me Crazy.” But when she told her mother about it, she dismissed it as diaper rash and refused to take him to the doctor.
Heche’s family, including his mother Nancy and sister Abigail, have strongly denied the accusations. In response to these accusations, Nancy reportedly said, “I’m trying to carve out a place for myself in this writing, a place where I, as Anne’s mother, don’t feel violated or outraged,” according to People in 2001. The deceit and profanity contained within these pages have no place in my life. Abigail, Heche’s sister, said, “I believe my sister Anne sincerely believes what she said regarding our father’s previous actions at this time; nevertheless, at the same time, I would like to point out that Anne, in the past, has expressed reservations about the veracity of such recollections. I think his memories of our father are wrong based on my experience and his own expressed reservations. And regardless of Anne’s opinions, I can categorically say that the claim that our mother was aware of such activity is false. Speaking to The Daily Telegraph in 2009, she acknowledged that the likelihood of her mother and her reconciliation being quite low.
Mental illness and drugs
Heche’s breakup with Ellen in 2000 left her in a state of mental anguish. When she broke up with him ten days later and, on August 19, knocked on the door of a random woman in the desert, the complexity of her mental anguish increased even further. She drove all the way from Los Angeles to Cantua Creek outside of Fresno, Calif., where she dumped her SUV on the side of the road. Before knocking on Araceli Campiz’s door, she walked nearly 1.5 miles in just a bra and shorts. Araceli was puzzled but immediately recognized Heche. Campiz reportedly added, “I thought, ‘Oh my God, we’re in the middle of nowhere,’ and she walks in,” as quoted by People at the time.
Heche “took off her Nikes and said she needed to take a shower,” according to Campiz, and she had no problem with that. Campiz described how she was sure Heche was not under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a high. The actress finally admitted to using ecstasy. Campiz quickly grew concerned as Heche hadn’t called any friends or relatives for at least 30 minutes. According to a story on KSEE-TV, Campiz eventually called the sheriff’s office, and when they arrived, Heche informed them that she was “God, and she was coming to take everyone back to heaven…in a spatialship”. Heche is currently being treated for his burns in hospital.
