Soham Murders: Where Are Jessica Chapman Parents Sharon & Leslie Chapman Now?

-

In 2002, Jessica Chapman was just 10 years old when she and her friend were lured and killed.

One of the deepest and most intense searches for Holly and Jessica in British criminal history has been carried out by police and residents.

Both were killed on August 4, 2002, but it was not until August 17 that their remains were found. The 20th anniversary of the death of this horrific incident takes place this year, and their bereaved loved ones and well-wishers mourn them.

Soham Murders: Jessica Chapman’s parents are Sharon and Leslie Chapman

Jessica Chapman’s long-lost spirit left behind her doting parents, Sharon and Leslie Chapman. When they discovered her lifeless body, the Chapman couple were completely devastated.

According to Entertainment Daily, Sharon worked at the same primary school in Soham where Maxine Carr attended Holly and Jessica’s class.

Carr, who at the time was Ian Huntley’s girlfriend, killed the girls. Even during the first investigations, she gave Ian a false alibi.

The youngest child of parents, Jessica’s older sisters were 15 and 17 when she was killed.

Leslie was an engineer and Sharon worked as a respected faculty member at the community school. The Chapman family was therefore prosperous.

These parents went to great lengths to raise their three adult daughters together.

Where are Sharon and Leslie now? What happened to the family?

The death of their youngest daughter and the huge media coverage of the case caused the Chapman family to largely avoid the spotlight.

Leslie and Sharon had generally kept to themselves and avoided speaking to the media unless it was about Jessica.

For the family, August 4 was a memorable day as it was the day after their trip to Menorca.

In order to attend Holly’s barbecue party and give her a necklace with the initial “H” that she had bought in Menorca, Jessica had rushed to meet Holly.

The next day, Leslie was ready to start his new career as an engineer, only to lose his daughter for good. After the incident, the Chapman duo took time off from work and did not return to it for some time.

Sharon took years to return to school, while Mr Chapman started his new job a few months later.

They have since limited their interactions with the media, but on the first anniversary of the creation of the National Police Database, they have broken their silence.

The couple continued to mourn quietly in the hope that other families would not suffer the same fate as theirs.

ITV documentary about Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman murders enraged viewers

‘ITV This Morning’ hosts Rochelle Humes and Vernon Kay discussed the tragedy and its effect on crimes across the country on the 20th anniversary of the deaths of best friends Holly and Jessica.

A video of the terrible assassin Huntley pretending to be innocent was played during their conversation. The video infuriated viewers and Twitter users who found his behavior repugnant.

Huntley received two life sentences with a minimum of 40 years in prison after being found guilty of the double homicides. Maxine Carr, his partner, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for tampering with justice.

The fact that both Huntley and Carr took action to search for the girls and even expressed their guilt to their parents still grossly disgusts viewers.

They had taken the bodies of Holly and Jessica to a ditch during their desperation, stripped them naked and set them on fire.
