A heart attack hits Bob Odenkirk while filming Better Call Saul.
The actor who plays Better Call Saul’s Saul Goodman passed out on the show’s set in July 2021 after suffering a heart attack. Angie Meyer, the show’s associate director and chief health officer, performed CPR on the actor before hooking him up to an automated defibrillator.
Odenkirk took the next five weeks off to recover from this horrific event. The actor admitted in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he limited his filming time to 12 hours a day.
The actor also told the media source how “weird” it was to watch the episode where he passed out again. As Odenkirk clarified:
The weirdest thing is that I really don’t remember that day. It’s rare that I watch something I don’t remember playing in. Even though the video was shot months ago, you usually remember it after watching it. But in this case, it’s so empty. It’s quite special. I have to admit it seems strange to have wasted, essentially, a week and a half. Nothing needs cleaning; just clean. Anyway, it was a funny experience. Other than that, I’m fine.
The Breaking Bad star has ditched the aforementioned Instagram profile as of this writing. As of this writing, the actor hasn’t made a statement regarding his Instagram account.
