The riches of Shauna Redford
As of early 2020, Shauna Redford’s net worth is estimated to be over $2 million, earned through a successful painting career. While many expected her to follow in her father’s footsteps, she chose to go her own way, following his passion for the visual arts in which she excelled, helping to enrich him.
She is likely also benefiting from her father’s success, as Robert has an estimated net worth of over $170 million, thanks to a long and successful career in the film industry.
Early life
Shauna is Robert’s daughter from his first marriage to historian Lola Van Wagenen. The two were together from 1958 to 1985 and produced three children before divorcing. She grew up very luxurious thanks to her father’s wealth, but life was relatively normal as children were kept out of the spotlight and encouraged to pursue their own dreams.
They were four siblings, but the youngest, Scott, died aged just three months due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The syndrome is, as its name suggests, the sudden death of a baby without any explanation; the cause has not yet been identified although it rarely occurs. Eventually, Shauna discovers a passion for the arts, especially painting, which she pursues with her studies.
School and career
While Shauna stayed away from the media spotlight, many eyes turned to her in college, when she was involved in a murder investigation.

The victim was her college boyfriend, a man named Sid Wells with whom she was a classmate at the University of Colorado. The two had been together for three years, until in 1983 he was discovered dead, shot in the head at his home, a condominium near the university by his brother, who became a suspect in murder for a while. The case remains unsolved although many believe it was her roommate who pulled the trigger. Lack of evidence, however, meant authorities could not charge him.
Shauna was overwhelmed with grief for a long time and couldn’t function properly, including while studying, and eventually ended up dropping out of college.
She and her father appeared at Wells’ funeral. She was finally able to move on and focus on her career as a painter. She has had some success, although the media doesn’t follow her actions that much compared to her father. She continues to appear publicly but attention to her has diminished, especially after her father’s retirement.
