In 2022, the narrative between Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie changed.
According to multiple media sources, the Petitio family sued Utah police for $50 million, claiming their negligence caused the death of the 22-year-old New Yorker.
One of the witnesses claimed that Petitio’s lover, Laundrie, assaulted her before she died. The family now believe their daughter was lost due to the police’s late response to the call.
