According to Las Vegas police, Lynch was apprehended following a traffic stop for erratic driving. Police later discovered the 36-year-old was intoxicated and had him arrested and sent to jail.
Following his arrest, Lynch was charged with four offences: impaired driving, operation of an unregistered vehicle, breaching his lane, and failing to present proof of safety.
Fox 5 in Las Vegas reports the arrest took place just before 7:30 a.m. local time. Lynch was still being held Tuesday afternoon due to his outstanding $3,381 bond.
According to the team statement the day before his arrest, Lynch will work this season as a special reporter for the Seahawks, a position in which he will produce “original material for a number of projects.”
