[Spoiler Warning]
Now we can finally see for ourselves the first five episodes of Disney+’s latest Marvel show I am Groot. Here are the first five episodes of I am Groot class.
You’ll get about half an hour of content between the five episodes, and debate still rages on whether or not they’re canon for the MCU, but all I know is that they’re fun, easy to watch and who doesn’t want Baby Groot anymore?
5. The Pursuit of Groot
If we were ever to get a Groot-centric horror movie, this is the closest we’d get. A tired and grumpy Groot is awakened in the middle of the night by an unknown alien species. Pursuing him, he finally announces himself to Groot, before a weird but hilarious dance involving Groot and the alien, taking Groot’s form before our grumpy Groot gets the final “I am Groot”.
4. Groot takes a bath
Groot gets some much-needed downtime at a spa/hot spring of his own making. Falling asleep, he awakens to find he has undergone massive plant growth, then spends the next few minutes cutting and shaping the growths into various shapes, including a horse, a dolphin, and a poodle. An encounter with a strange animal later, and Groot returns to his ship with a new Specular Scarf and a new sense of self.

3. Groot’s First Steps
Bridging the gap between the immobile Baby Groot at the end of the first Guardians film and the walking toddler of the second, Groot’s First Steps is, like the other shorts, an adorable glimpse into what Groot does when left behind. only. Eating cheese balls, preening and outright developing a vendetta against a bonsai tree is simple, but fun.
2. The Little Man
Who knew Groot had a knack for building? And who thought Groot could become a Malevolent God for a whole new species in the MCU? And then eliminate them quickly and accidentally? If you’ve seen the Futurama episode where Bender becomes a God, you’ve seen it, except it has less dialogue and quickly advances from helpful God to accidentally murderous God in seconds.
1. Magnum Opus
Number one on the list of the first five episodes of I am Groot ranked, Groot takes it upon himself to create a family portrait of himself and the Guardians. Chaos ensues. In the only episode with one of the Guardians, Rocket discovers that Groot destroyed a part of the ship, noticing that it is both wet and on fire, as well as commenting on everything Groot stole to create his new artwork. ‘art. Rocket doesn’t look very polished visually, but with barely any screen time, that’s no surprise.
