Brooklyn, New York The final edition of “The Wendy William’s show” aired June 17. Fans already know that comedian Sherri Shepherd’s other chat show will take her place. Shepherd is already criticizing Wendy even though the show’s “Sherri” premiere is scheduled for September 12.
The new presenter promises that her show will be much “kinder” to her guests and fans. Nonetheless, Shepherd will launch her program in September after Wendy’s program was terminated in June this year due to the host’s odd conduct and medical issues.
Now, just weeks away from the start of the new show, Shepherd is taking on the often-controversial Wendy and letting the public know that she will be a much better and happier host. She said in an interview with the DailyMail that “I’m not cruel at all, let’s be clear on that! I’m a big fan of good vibes. I enjoy joy. I appreciate generosity and humor. Anyone who knows me would confirm that. She made sure to stress that there would be no rude remarks and that she would always treat celebrities with respect as she hoped to bring in celebrity guests like Oprah and Meryl Streep. In a recent tweet for the ‘Sherri Show’ she said: ‘Bringing my @Hertz van back after trip to New York. Now is the time to have fun at the Hertz neighborhood location in Midtown Manhattan near the @SherriShowTV studio! Hertz Lets Go is a sponsor.
“I’m a big fan of good vibes. I enjoy joy. I appreciate generosity and humor. That’s exactly what anyone who knows me will tell you, and my talk show will reflect that. Otherwise why would it be anything else? Being a celebrity myself, I understand what it’s like to be nervous about appearing on a show or worrying that the host is trying to give you a quick one. On Sherri, it’s going to be a celebrity-friendly place,” host Shepherd said Michelle Obama would be his ideal guest on the show.
Shepherd continued, “Being part of the genre that produced stars like Oprah Winfrey, Phil Donahue, Sally Jesse Raphael, Rolonda Watts, Montell Williams and Ricki Lake makes me incredibly happy. On September 12, when Sherri makes her live debut, I hope to create the same impact as these talk show giants. I’m grateful!” His presentation will be recorded at Chelsea Studios in New York in front of a live audience. “Every time I get on that set, I put pressure on myself to give my best. The only thing I care about is making sure I can give people an hour of joy, laughter and inspiration. At Debmar-Mercury, I know I have a fantastic team that works with me every day to help me achieve this goal,” Shepherd said during the conversation.
