MCU’s Phase Four lineup is almost at its wit’s end with She-Hulk: Lawyer. The Disney+ series is expected to incorporate some form of closing statement with its characters including those new to the universe as well as several veterans and being the latest MCU Phase Four series, it will definitely come out with a bang.

Jessica Gao recently commented on her past encounters with the studio and how she learned she had finally received a call confirming her hiring by Marvel..
“For me, I mean, I was thrilled, because it was a dream job, but also, I’d been rejected by Marvel three times on previous projects. So I was like, ‘I guess that the fourth time is the charm. It worked!’ It was the right project. I’m glad they rejected me so many times.

Jessica Gao’s Knowledge of the Marvel Universe
When it comes to She-Hulk, Jessica Gao is the kind of superfan who challenges Kamala Khan’s love for Captain Marvel. There’s no one better equipped to handle the storyline of superhero inclusion in the current timeline of the Marvel Universe, but given how much critical bombardment the series has received over its entire first week of release, it becomes confusing whether his hiring was the right call from the studio.

However, Gao was supported by many, including actor Ginger Gonzaga who went so far as to say “The universe was waiting for the right one for you.” In an interview with Slash Film, the writer further revealed,
“The very first project I pitched to Marvel was for the movie ‘Black Widow’. And I had She-Hulk in my pitch, but so many She-Hulks in my pitch that someone actually commented: “It’s kind of like you pitching a She-Hulk movie with Black Widow in it. There was clearly a reason I didn’t get that job. I truly believe it was all for a reason, because that ultimately what I really wanted was “She-Hulk” and those other projects weren’t “She-Hulk.”
She-Hulk: Lawyer premieres on Disney+ today, August 18, and airs weekly with episodes airing every Thursday.
