After the James Bond franchise was left by Daniel Craig after a successful run of five films, the directors are still looking for a new name to lead the franchise. As various rumors swirled around, some sources reported that the studio wanted a younger James Bond this time around who could continue in the role for years to come. This statement from the studio has raised more speculation regarding which actor will portray Bond, the most prominent being Tom Holland. There are rumors that Tom Holland may turn out to be the exact portrait the studio has been asking for so far.

The quest for a new James Bond
Daniel Craig starred in 5 James Bond films after the likes of Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan had already added class and flair to the character. After the consecutive run of five successful films, the actor announced his departure from the series and we finally got the conclusion when 007 passed away at the end of no time to die.

Now, after leaving the character, many other names have started to appear that can fit into the role of the British secret service agent. The most prominent names considered by fans were Henry Cavill, Idris Elba and Tom Hardy. But they were quickly proven invalid as the latest sources cite that the studio is looking for a younger 007. According to Entertainment correspondent Ross King:
“The latest rumor – and in some ways some of it is very true – which is, basically, the Bond producers are looking for a younger Bond. He added that the studio was likely looking for “someone probably in their thirties.”
It is also seen that the studio requires someone under 5ft 10. This has raised further speculation regarding the casting of Tom Holland as he exactly matches all the required criteria.
