Chadwick Boseman died in August 2020 at the age of 43. The news came as a shock to everyone. He suffered from colon cancer. He completed production on several films during his illness. His treatment involved several surgeries and chemotherapy, through which he worked in films, including Marshall, Da 5 Bloods, Ma Rainey, and others.
Chadwick Boseman was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, which progressed to stage IV before 2020. The actor has never mentioned his disease in his interviews or in public. Apart from his family, only a few people were aware of his condition.

Boseman began his acting career with an episode of Third watch and began playing the role of Reggie Montgomery in the soap opera All my children.
Prior to his role as Black Panther, he’s played several iconic roles over the years, including singer James Brown and baseball legend Jackie Robinson. But after playing Black Pantherits popularity has skyrocketed.
He made his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War and continued his MCU journey with Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avenger: Endgame. He also gave his voice to his character in Marvel’s what if series.
Disney Awards Boseman with Disney Legends Awards
The trailer of black panther 2 is published and pays homage to the Wakandan king T’Challa. Disney also revealed special recognition to the actor to honor his contributions to the MCU and Disney.
Disney recently announced the recipients of this year’s Disney Legends Awards, which include Chadwick Boseman among the notable nominees.
The award is an honor given by Disney to the individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the company’s legacy. Earlier, Stan Lee, Robert Downey Jr., Jack Kirby, and Jon Favreau received this honor from Disney.
The Disney Legends Awards ceremony will take place on September 9 in Hall D23 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Disney also shared a tribute to Boseman describing him as someone who was “powered by purpose.”

Tributes to the King of Wakanda
Chadwick Boseman not only impacted Disney and Marvel, but also inspired the black community and paved the way for the normalization of African heritage.
Disney isn’t the only one paying homage to Boseman. Fans around the world have paid tribute to the actor for the past two years. Marvel also decided not to recast T’Challa for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in tribute to the actor. His MCU co-stars also paid tribute to Boseman.
Marvel also changed the animation of its studio logo when Black Panther opened on Disney+. Instead of having every MCU superhero, the logo only had images of Boseman from Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame pay tribute to the actor.
Wakanda without its king in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
The award will continue to inspire those who admire Boseman. Apart from Chadwick Boseman, the Disney Legends Awards also include a roster of stars, namely Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell, Rob’t Coltrin, Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo, and many more.
The trailer of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever also paid tribute to the actor as King T’Challa. Throughout the trailer, the people of Wakanda appear to mourn their king, T’Challa.
The plot for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is still under wraps. The trailer previews the story, which could follow a battle between Wakanda and Atlantians. The film is set to be released on November 11, 2022.
