September 8, also known as Disney Plus Day, is shaping up to be one of the biggest for the media giant. With Disney moving its birthday in November to a new date of September 8, they announced what fans can expect at the streaming service’s upcoming celebration.
surprising no one, Thor: Love and Thunder is making its way to Disney+, but now we at least have a concrete date we can sit back and watch the financial, if not critical, hit.
Not the movie we imagined
When it was released in July, a lot was said about Thor’s latest releases, but the most common and common was that the content didn’t necessarily match Taika Waititi’s direction, with the difficult themes of the cancer story of Jane and Gorr the God Butcher being misrepresented by the light-hearted, humor-focused director.
Not as good as its predecessor, Thor: Ragnarok, from the same director, that hasn’t stopped the film from being a huge financial success at the box office, grossing nearly $800 million to date. All the more impressive given that the film was not released in China or Russia, due to the film’s portrayal of Valkyrie, an openly bisexual character.
There seemed to be a lot to say about the length of the film, with many fans suggesting that Waititi’s hands were tied by Marvel, and that’s why we didn’t get more Gorr the God Butcher from Bale, other more serious scenes concerning Jane and her cancer. , and more. That turned out not to be the case however, when Waititi came out and said he “was happy with the movie that came out”.
