American wrestler and actress Mercedes Justine Kaestner-Varnado, 30, is better known by the ring name Sasha Banks.

Chaotic Struggle (2010–2012)
In 2008, Kaestner-Varnado began training wrestling with Chaotic Wrestling (CW), headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts. [source: missing citation] It was on October 1, 2010 that she made her in-ring debut under the ring name Mercedes KV. The contest was an intergender tag team match, and they ended up losing to Alexxis and Danny E. She joined Nikki Roxx for the fight. KV and Roxx frequently teamed up and supported each other at ringside after quickly hitting it off and forming a friendship. KV’s first ever match in the singles competition was on October 22 and they were defeated by Danny E. in their rematch on November 13.
KV won their first match on January 7, 2011, when she and Roxx prevailed in a tag team battle against Alexxis and Mistress Belmont. This win marked KV’s in-ring debut. After WrestleMania 36, Banks and Bayley teased the possibility of a rivalry, emphasizing the narrative that Banks is the cause of Bayley’s success and that Bayley is primarily responsible for Banks’ losing efforts. On the June 5 edition of SmackDown, Banks and Bayley reclaimed the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship by defeating Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce), Kabuki Warriors, Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox and other teams were some of the opposition they faced as they defended their crowns (Asuka and Kairi Sane).
