For DC fans, an exciting latest casting announcement has just surfaced on Twitter and it’s a new version of Poison Ivy. And according to the source, it seems that The batman 2 co-writer is seeking Olivia Cooke for the role.

Poison Ivy is one of Matt Reeves’ most beloved villains Batman franchise. Recently, some Reddit users also speculated which actress would be perfect and take on the iconic role next. Previously, there was a whole list of potential actors who could land the role, but so far, it seems Olivia Cooke has caught the co-writer’s eye.

Mattson Tomlin seems to be eyeing Olivia Cooke for the role of Poison Ivy
Poison Ivy debuted in Batman #181 in June 1966, which was a super hit and was easily appreciated by fans. The character made his very first film debut in Batman: The Animated Seriesin an episode titled “Pretty Poison”, where she poisons Harvey Dent also known as Two-Face. However, this spectacular character is yet to debut in a new feature film.

If we talk about her origin, Poison Ivy known as Pamela Isley, was basically a botany student at Gotham University and was well known for her passion but only that, she was also a brilliant scientist with a mind creative. But as always, the pages turned differently and her plans changed when she was experimented on by a co-worker, she was injected with multiple plant toxins that turned her into what we call the Batman evil Poison Ivy. This character needs a lot of poise to play and a perfect cast will be Olivia Cooke if we talk about her acting talent. No wonder Mattson Tomlin is coveting her for the role.
