A new Apple TV+ Original is coming, and it’s a documentary about Selena Gomez. The streaming service acquired the film rights yesterday, and they even have a title ready for the new feature-length documentary about the singer, Selena Gomez: My mind and me.
Although many may not like the Hispanic singer, she is undoubtedly one of the most popular figures among young people over the past two decades. The new feature documentary will be produced by Apple TV+ alongside Interscope Films and Lighthouse M&M, the trio previously collaborated on Billie Eilish. The world is a little blurry Last year.

Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me is going to be a huge treat for the Selenators, a fandom that’s crazy about all things pop star.
Gomez first broke into mainstream media by appearing on various Disney Channel television series, including a starring role in The Wizards of Waverly Place. Her commercial performance in the music field is not far behind either – she has sold over 7 million albums and 22 million singles worldwide.
The singer-songwriter has also been in the spotlight for some time with his very public, on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber.

The new documentary has an interesting storyline and is set to be directed by Alek Keshishian who directed Madonna: Truth or Dare the most successful documentary of its time.
The official summary on the Apple TV+ Press page reads-
“After years in the limelight, Selena Gomez rises to unimaginable stardom. But just as she reaches a new height, an unexpected turn drags her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary covers her six-month journey years in a new light.
The summary may refer to Gomez’s mental health, which she talks about openly. She also suffers from bipolar disorder which she announced in 2020.

Documentary summary gets negative responses
The selectors hope that Alek Keshishian will be able to make an exceptional feature documentary in Selena Gomez: my mind and mejust like she did for Madonna in Madonna: Truth or Dare.

It’s clear from all the negative tweets that none of them have idol worship. But that doesn’t discredit the fact that Gomez has had to go through a lot in his life, and that alone warrants at least one unique viewing of the upcoming documentary.
