American drag racer Antron Brown drives the Matco Tools Top Fuel dragster for AB Motorsports and competes in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series.
For his Top Fuel championship wins in 2012, 2015 and 2016, Brown is well recognized. The first African American to win the sports championship is Antron. Brown finished second in 2001 and 2006 and won 16 motorcycle races in total.
In fact, he enjoyed riding a Pro Stock motorcycle when he started professional drag racing, and he immediately became well-liked by spectators and rivals alike.

Antron Brown met his wife Billie Jo Brown at his first Pro Stock motorcycle race
In 2001 Brown married Billie Jo Brown. They’ve been together since meeting at Antron’s first Pro Stock Motorcycle event in Gainesville in 1998.
To commemorate their 21st wedding anniversary, Antron recently posted a photo of him and his wife on their wedding day on Instagram. Due to their mutual respect and trust, the couple have been together for many years.
Billie has also always been her husband’s rock. In an interview with DonSchumacherRacing, he was asked what it was like to have a racing car driver spouse. She said he was the most humble and supportive man one could wish for.
Two sons and a daughter are the children of Brown and his wife Billie. For an NHRA racer, the development of his children comes before his career achievements.
The family of Antron’s son, Anson, welcomed his interest in racing at the age of eight and enrolled him in the Junior Dragster division.
Anson showed his talent by winning a number of Midwest Jr. Super Series Championships Later, on his 17th birthday in 2021, he chose to upgrade to a larger vehicle, and his parents took it on. surprised with a Super Comp license course at Frank Hawley.

With the help of his grandmother Dolores, who frequently attends the races, Antron Brown’s grandfather was the one who initiated the Brown drag racing gene into the family.
Later, Albert, the father of NHRA Racer, made the same professional decision as his grandfather. He was an athletic drag racer and ran a septic tank service. Antron grew up watching races at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey, where his father and uncle, Andre Brown, competed.
After watching his father and uncle run, he developed an interest in running. He started racing motorcycles at the age of six and motocross at the age of twelve, honing his skills on a track he created on the farm. He participated in his first drag race as a high school student.
Similar to Antron, 13-year-old Anson of the Brown family is now the fourth generation of drag racers. In addition, his son Adler and his other daughter Arianna continued in his footsteps.
According to Brown, his children succeeded in Junior Dragsters from an early age and learned important life lessons. His son Anson won the Midwest Junior Dragster Championship the previous year. The Brown family will now compete in NHRA Summernationals across three generations.

Early life
Brown’s family moved to his grandmother’s 10-acre farm in rural Chesterfield Township, New Jersey, when he was six, following the death of his grandfather. Brown’s father, Albert, owned a septic tank service and competed in drag racing at the sport level. Brown lived in Trenton, New Jersey, until age six when her family moved to the farm. Antron started racing motorcycles when he was six and motocross when he was twelve, training on a track he built on the farm, where he also serviced the automobiles when he was child. As a senior in high school, he participated in his very first competitive drag race.
Brown attended Northern Burlington County Regional High School before becoming a track star at Mercer County Community College in New Jersey as a sprinter and long jumper. He graduated from Mercer County Community College in 1997 with an associate’s degree in business administration. Brown’s athletic accomplishments earned him the nickname “Brown Lightning”. After getting the opportunity to race track for Long Island University on a full scholarship, he was called up by football player Troy Vincent, whose wife was married to Brown’s cousin, who was building a running team. Brown’s cousin was Brown’s wife.
Racing career
Between the years of 1998 and 2007, Brown competed in the NHRA’s Pro Stock Motorcycle class. He spent his first three years in the division with Vincent’s Team 23 Racing. In the motorcycle division, Brown has won 16 events and he finished second in his career in 2001 and 2006. He made the transition to Top Fuel drag racing in 2008. In 2012, 2015 and 2016, Brown was crowned category champion Top Fuel.
Private life
Brown, his wife Billie Jo and their three children Anson, Adler and Arianna currently reside in Pittsboro, Indiana. Moreover, he is a very dedicated follower of Christ.
In popular culture
Brown made a guest appearance on the third season, episode 8 of the A&E reality show Storage Wars, titled “The Fast and the Curious.” Brown guest-starred as an evaluator in this episode. He also made a guest appearance in episode 3 of Idris Elba: No Limits, playing the role of Elba’s drag race coach. In its current iteration, Top Gear America, it shares hosting duties with Tom Ford and William Fichtner. During the sixteenth season of the Discovery show Wheeler Dealers, Brown battled a 1965 Barracuda driven by Ant Antstead. His opponent was in the driver’s seat.
