The Indiana Jones franchise is one of the most beloved action-adventure franchises of all time, and Harrison Ford is its shining star. Ford is undoubtedly the face of the franchise, and wouldn’t it be devastating to hear that one day or another the actor will finally end his role? Well, that day is today.
As Ford prepares for the franchise’s fifth installment, having already made appearances in the previous four films, the actor is considering stepping back from the role. This is, of course, terrible news to hear after associating the name of the franchise with the actor, but it could also open up new business for other actors to replace his shoes.

Harrison Ford is done playing Indiana Jones
Harrison Ford made his first appearance as an iconic archaeologist with the release of the first film in 1981 The Raiders of the Lost Ark. After which Indiana Jones became one of the most popular names in movie history, even going so far as to earn the title of “Second Greatest Movie Hero of All Time” by the American Film Institute.
The actor has also made numerous appearances in the franchise, until the last installation in 2008. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Ford will now portray the character one last time in a fifth film in the franchise. The news came from Cowboys and Aliens actor himself at this year’s D23 Expo when clarifying speculation regarding his final appearance as Mungo Kidogo-

This news comes as no surprise considering the guy literally turned 80 this year, and it’s pretty impressive that he’s shooting a fifth Indiana Jones movie at his age.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is exhausted from working with Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 5
The winner Flea bag Star Phoebe Waller-Bridge is one of the names to watch in the latest installment of the Indiana Jones franchise.
The 37-year-old actress will be cast alongside Harrison Ford’s character in the film as Helena, Jones’ goddaughter. She will also be joined by other notable actors such as Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, etc.

During a presentation of the film’s first look at the Lucasfilm Showcase at Expo D23, Waller-Bridge explained how exhausting it was to work on the film with the legendary actor-
“I’m so incredibly lucky to be working with you legends and following this guy (Ford) is exhausting. We go through so many amazing things together and chase each other to the most amazing places and it was really fun.
Before any of you jump to any negative conclusions about what she said, what she means is Ford’s work pace is hard to follow, and that’s just a testament to the hard work of the 80-year-old actor.
Waller-Bridge and Ford seem like a pretty compatible duo, and we hope that chemistry translates into the movie we’ve all been waiting for since Ford announced he’d be returning for a fifth Indiana Jones movie in 2008, over there. a decade ago!
The fifth Indiana Jones film will be released on June 20, 2023, given that it will no longer be delayed.
