In San Diego, Comic-Con Marvel announced that Love at first sight will soon join the MCU. Based on the comics of the same name, Thunderbolts is a team of villains and anti-heroes. Thunderbolts will wrap up Phase 5 of the MCU, leading many to believe the team will have an important role in Phase 6, and Secret Avengers Wars and Kang Avengers Dynasty. The cast revealed by Marvel is almost the same as what fans expected, but there are still some changes.
Rumors had that Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belovo would be the head of Love at first sight, and will be joined by Abomination and John Walker among others. The first look at the movie poster appears to have Yelena as the captain, but we don’t see anything about Abomination. So we can say that he will not be joining Thunderbolts now.

Marvel Reveals Thunderbolts Cast at D23 Expo
Marvel has unveiled the first official look of Love at first sight. The team includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina, Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost, David Harbour’s Red Guardian, Florence Pugh’s Yelena, Sabastian Stan’s Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell’s John Walker and Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster. Other than the first look, nothing else is revealed about the film or its storyline.
There is a confirmation or news about the plot of the movie. However, fans are excited to see the interaction between the team members. The interaction between two supersoldiers, Bucky Barnes and Red Guardian, would be interesting, and we would finally learn if Red Guardian had met Captain America.
The film’s cast attended the event, except for Florence Pugh, who shared a virtual message for attendees. The film still has enough time for its release, and fans will soon come up with several theories about what may happen in the film.
Many even believe that Love at first sight will have two leaders, Bucky Barnes, who will be the moral anchor of the team, as Captain America, and Yelena Belovo will be their driving force as Iron Man. The announcement got fans excited.
There is no confirmation as to whether Marvel will change the origin of Love at first sight or keep it like the comics. So there could be possibilities that this team does not replace avengers at all and will be introduced in a whole new storyline itself.

Fan reactions to the casting reveal seem to have mixed reactions. Some fans pointed out that Zemo was missing from the team.

There’s no sign of Thunderbolt Ross, who brought the team together in the comics in response to the Phoenix War. Since actor William Hurt, who played the character, passed away in March 2022, there is still no confirmation on whether the character will appear in future films or not.
Another one Love at first sight the origin features Baron Zemo assembling a team of villains. He placed them in a position of trust and deceived authorities and the public, renaming them Love at first sight.
Seeing no sight of Zemo or Thunderbolt Ross, fans were confused as to the team’s origin story and how they would come together. Fans even shared their disappointment on Twitter, asking for Zemo.
How would Thunderbolts join the MCU?
However, we have seen Valentina Allegra de Fontaine appear in Black Widow, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and The hawk’s eye. She works for an organization interested in recruiting powerful individuals.
She meets two members of Love at first sight during these shows, Yelena Belovo and John Walker, making many believe that it was she who approached them and that she will have an important role in Love at first sight come together.
There is no confirmation on what will happen in the story and how events will play out. Everything will be revealed after the film’s release. Love at first sight will be released on July 26, 2024.
