Expo D23 did not turn out to be a fair race for viewers. While some projects have been the subject of major announcements, the most anticipated have not been touched. Fantastic 4 and x-men were two of the most high-profile projects in the MCU. Fantastic 4 is still in a better place, thanks to the director and release date being confirmed. But we don’t even know if we’ll get an X-Men movie in Phase 6 or not.
After the bag full of announcements at SDCC 22, fans were excited for a whole lot more from D23 Expo 22. Fantastic 4 casting for world war hulk and x-men announcements, there were a lot of deals that needed to be settled.

The MCU becomes the mercenary of the party
Although it can’t be said that the MCU hasn’t released anything at all to D23. They released a few teasers while many were also shown to the media audience behind closed doors. But there was magnificent hype for having the Mutants in the MCU and that’s where they let fans down.
The mutants being already mentioned in the MCU in the last episode of Ms. Marvel, they were expected to be introduced into the universe soon. When MCU went silent during SDCC, fans thought D23 might finish the incomplete job. Now, according to some theories and sources, the Mutants are going to appear in the movies either after Secret Wars or during phase 6 only. Therefore, there are no previous updates yet.

Elaborating on this, Deadline’s Justin Kroll tweeted that it will still be a long time to get updates on X-Men.
Speaking of X-MEN, this movie hasn’t been around for very long, so outside of one writer being exploited, it’s highly unlikely that any casting decisions will be made on this one for quite some time.

However, remember that in Phase 6 which is to conclude the Multiverse Saga, only three titles have been announced. These consist of Fantastic 4, Avengers: Kang Dynastyand Avengers: Secret Wars, so it may be precedent that X-Men is one of the other mystery titles that have yet to be announced. Or there may also be the case of the Mutants joining the saga in the final Secret Wars film.
