Samuel James Champion (born August 13, 1961) is an American weathercaster. He is best known for his combined 25-year career on ABC’s flagship station WABC-TV and Good Morning America. Champion has been in the broadcasting industry ever since. His previous work on The Weather Channel includes stints as co-anchor for AMHQ: America’s Morning Headquarters and 23.5 Degrees with Sam Champion.

After working for ABC until his last day on December 4, 2013, he was offered the position of Managing Editor of The Weather Channel, which he started on January 1, 2014.
