When Black Panther debuted in 2018, it has become nothing short of a cultural sensation. People loved the film’s universe, the heroes it introduced and the villains it explored. It quickly became one of Marvel Studios’ most ambitious ventures of all time.
The film ended up winning three Oscars, a milestone for the MCU. Black Panther won Best Costume, Best Production Design, and Best Original Score. Many people wonder if wakanda forever, the highly anticipated sequel, will be as spectacular as the original. And could it bring more Oscars to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Oscar Prediction
Awards editor Clayton Davis released a report ranking the odds of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever receive an Oscar, aka an Oscar, in many categories.
Davis’ ranking in each category is as follows:
- Best Film: 12th most likely
- Best Director: Ryan Coogler is the 21st most likely winner.
- Best Cinematography: Autumn Durald is probably ranked tenth.
- Best Adapted Screenplay – The work of Ryan Coogler and Joe Johnston Robert Cole is ranked 11th most likely.
- Best Supporting Actress: Angela Basset is ranked 10th, Dominique Thorn is ranked 31st, Danai Gurira is ranked 35th, and Lupita Nyong’o is ranked 37th.
Letitia Wright and Winston Duke were not nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress, indicating that they are unlikely to receive nominations. Martin Freeman was also considered as a supporting actor but did not receive a nomination.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder didn’t even receive any honorable mentions. A preliminary report was created for Eternals last year, but none of the predictions were correct, which isn’t surprising given the film’s reaction.
Will Wakanda Forever manage to win an Oscar?
None of the categories won by the first frame are included in these predictions. If there are, they are likely to make the most of it, and that is where they will be.
The best costume design is a great example of this. Not only was that component of the previous movie great, but it looks like wakanda forever can even surpass it. Just look to Midnight Angel’s blue suit for proof, with Nakia’s outrageous green dress following close behind.
It’s no surprise that wakanda foreverThe chances of getting into the other categories are limited to zero. The Academy is well known for its antipathy towards superheroes and big blockbuster events. They win from time to time, but it’s far from usual.

Of course, it would be wonderful if that could finally start to change. There have been several MCU films that have earned recognition; I’m crossing my fingers for that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever can still break down that barrier.
