Disney unveiled the trailer for Santa Clauses at the 2022 D23 Expo. The trailer for the Disney+ miniseries previews Tim Allen, who returns as Scott Calvin or Santa Claus in the series. The series will follow Scott Calvin as he awaits his retirement from Santa’s job and searches for a replacement. The trailer gives some glimpses of Santa interviewing former NFL superstar Payton Manning for the job. The trailer also shows Elizabeth Mitchell as Mrs. Claus and David Krumholtz as the elf Bernard.
The series follows Santa franchise, which began in 1994 with the release of Santa. The studio also released Santa Claus 2 in 2002 and Santa Claus 3 in 2006. The trailer for Santa Clauses seems to bring back the emotional balance that made the first two movies so loving.

Tim Allen reveals how his daughter got the role in Santas
Whereas Santa Clauses will have its original cast, it will also bring some new faces to the show. One of those characters would be Scott Calvin’s daughter, Sandra. The first film introduced Scott’s son, Charlie.
Scott Calvin later marries Charlie’s principal, Carol Newman, and has another son with her at the end of the third film. Sandra was born after the events of Santa Claus 3making her the youngest in the family.
In the series, viewers will be introduced to Scott Calvin’s daughter, Sandra, played by Elizabeth Allen-Dick. During his interview with Entertainment Weekly, Tim Allen opened up about how his daughter landed the role on the show.

He said he hoped his daughter would make a small appearance as one of the North Pole elves. But the creators liked her performance and wanted her to read more than one role.
“I said, ‘Anything you want to do. I don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t want to present my daughter for a role in the [series]”, he stated.
He claimed that the creators loved her performance and ended up casting her as Santa’s daughter. Tim Allen also claimed that his daughter must have landed the role due to her age, as she plays a 13-year-old girl and she is 13 years old.

Disney’s Santa Claus miniseries is coming to Disney+
The trailer of Santa Clauses shows Scott Calvin preparing for retirement. Hearing about his decision to retire, the elves at the toy factory begin to panic. The trailer further shows Santa interviewing people who might be interested in the job. aside from the trailer, the studio showed exclusive footage at the D23 Expo.
The footage shows a conversation between Santa Claus and his wife Carol. In the scene, Santa Claus goes through the naughty and nice lists. The scene also introduces new characters, Simon Choksi and his daughter Grace. The footage also shows Santa one-on-one with his children, Cal and Sandra.
The series starred Tim Allen, Eric Lloyd, David Krumholtz, Wendy Crewson, Elizabeth Mitchell and Judge Reinhold.
Santa Clauses will be released on November 16, 2022 on Disney+. The three Santa Claus films are also available on the streaming platform.
