There’s a lot to celebrate today, September 28, and one of those things is the possible arrival of The Amazing Spiderman 3. Sony just teased the most low-key teaser via its official Twitter account and the world hasn’t kept anything quiet since. While it’s still early to say for sure, the possible repercussions of an *official nudge nudge hint* on Sony’s behalf are simply manifold.

What is Sony up to in its Spider-Man universe?
Sony Pictures Entertainment has long held the production and distribution rights to the Spider-Man projects that have flourished for over a decade. So much so that the mass media and entertainment company now has its own Spider-Man universe, allowing it to explore its own brand of the Marvel Universe. However, the slew of recent developments happening at Marvel also means that their newly minted SSU must move forward or be stuck in an eternal loop of Spider-Man reboots.

The new teaser could be proof that the company is finally ready to take the plunge. Sony had granted themselves a favorable opportunity in 2021 during their collaboration with Marvel on Spider-Man: No Coming Home broke all possible barriers. The rebirth of Sony’s two greatest Spider-Man actors in their most famous roles provides the transition the company needs to finally deliver The Amazing Spider-Man 3. This transition was further facilitated when No coming home subtly delivered a filler for all the years that have passed in Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s own alternate universes. Sony can recover from where No coming home stops and finally breaks the chain of failures he suffered with the debut of SSU, Venom: let there be carnage and Morbus.

The fandom is preparing for The Amazing Spider-Man 3
Less than 24 hours ago, Sony tweeted an enlarged image of Andrew Garfield The Amazing Spider-Man poster logo. It could either mean that the studio is re-releasing Jhe amazing spider-man films (in keeping with the recent trend displayed by James Cameron) or the much more pleasant choice that will appeal to fans of The Amazing Spider-Man 3. The latter choice will deliver the much-needed film that will explore the aftermath of the tragedy of Gwen Stacy’s passing. It will also beautifully complement Andrew Garfield’s trilogy as a Marvel comic book superhero.

Tom Holland is amazing and deserves to continue in the MCU.
But let’s give Andrew Garfield another shot as The Amazing Spider-Man. Just make sure you have good writers, a fantastic director, and good producers on board.
And don’t rush.

All the chaos is a sure sign that fans are already more than ready for the official announcement. The possibility of The Amazing Spider-Man 3 happening was just a theory after No coming home but the teaser Sony tweeted comes at the most auspicious time as the Marvel Universe is already gearing up for other major projects. This will not only make the most of the fan interactions and traffic currently happening across all social media platforms, but will attract an engaged crowd spanning all fandoms.
