The report also puts it in direct competition with Captain Marvel which grossed $426.8 million.

Considering Kevin Feige ultimately decided to pass on the baton instead of recasting the role, the predicted drop in sales could be an indication of public displeasure with the decision to never see T’Challa in action again.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Plot details and release
