Dead Pool 3 has been all the rage since Ryan Reynolds revealed that Hugh Jackman would be making a return as Wolverine in the film. Now the film’s director, Shawn Levy, has teased another appearance in the film. Shawn Levy will take over the action-comedy-superhero franchise with Dead Pool 3. The film reunites Levy and Reynolds after the duo worked together in the 2022 Netflix film, The Adam Project. The film also had Walker Scobell, who played the younger version of Reynolds’ character.
In his interview with EOnline, Shawn Levy talked about Walker Scobell. Scobell made his acting debut as Adam Reed alongside Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project. After his first film, he was cast in Disney’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The series is slated for release in 2024.

Shawn Levy Teases Walker Scobell’s Possible Appearance in Deadpool 3
Talk about Dead Pool 3Shawn Levy shared that if he succeeds, dead Pool may have a familiar friend or foe on their hands. He also shared that Walker Scobell, who played young Adam in The Adam Projectapplied for a role.
He said Walker Scobell kept sending him pictures of Deadpool. “He very openly gives me casting ideas. I will just say that Ryan and I adore Walker, and we feel like we met him at that magical time between childhood and adolescence,“said Shawn Levy. Levy also said he saw Scobell grow up and maybe it paid off after all.
Walker Scobell joined Expo D23 2022 to Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Shawn Levy mentioned his appearance at Expo D23 and said that if he found any excuse to reunite Walker Scobell with Reynolds in Dead Pool 3he will realize it.

Ryan Reynolds and Walker Scobell share the same energy
Casting director Carmen Cuba auditioned 376 children to find the perfect actor for the role. Cuba shared that she was looking for a quality that was more subtle and harder to define, rather than just focusing on looks. She said that Ryan Reynolds and Walker Scobell may not look alike, but they share the same energy.
“Even if someone doesn’t look exactly like the person, if they have a similar energy, you almost start to believe they look like them.” Cuba tells Tudum. She also said that Reynolds had an energy that was hard to match, and Walker Scobell had the same energy.
Walker Scobell is a big fan of the dead Pool candor and has studied Reynolds’ inflections and mannerisms for years.

Fan Art Shows Walker Scobell as Kidpool in the MCU
People loved Ryan Reynolds and Walker Scobell together on screen. Fans who wanted to see the duo again began imagining Walker Scobell with Ryan Reynolds in dead Pool. One of the fans shared his fan art imagining Walker Scobell as Kidpool alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.
Kidpool is the younger variant of Wade Wilson, who first appeared in Prelude to Deadpool Corps #2. Walker Scobell watched Deadpool 2 for two months in order to act like young Ryan Reynolds. Ryan Reynolds also said that Scobell knew every word of the movie. Dead Pool 3slated for release in 2024, is Marvel Studios’ most anticipated film.
Fans are super excited for the movie as it will be the MCU debut for both dead Pool and Wolverine. Shawn Levy mentioning Walker Scobell may be a clue to his appearance in the film. However, nothing is official yet.
Dead Pool 3 will be released on September 6, 2024.
