The couple started dating in 2015 and have been in a relationship for over seven years. They announced their engagement in February 2022 with an Instagram post. Jennifer Holland and Gunn shared that they met on a blind date set by their mutual friend, Smallville Michael Rosenbaum.

James Gunn and Jennifer Holland exchange vows

The couple tied the knot over the weekend in front of a beautiful lake and mountain in Aspen, Colorado. On her Instagram post, Gunn described the wedding as an amazing, beautiful and breathtaking day.
Their family and friends also joined in the ceremony. Jennifer Holland looked stunning in her wedding dress, and Gunn also amazed everyone with her wedding look. In his message, he wrote, “After more than 7 years together, I finally married the love of my life, [Jennifer Holland],” Gunn wrote. “What an amazing, beautiful, beautiful day surrounded by the most wonderful family and friends in the world.”
He also shared a short clip of moose, which showed up at the start of the ceremony. He also mentioned that moose are the most dangerous wild animal in North America, but that moose just passed.

James Gunn thanked everyone who helped with the wedding
The director thanked everyone who helped them with the wedding preparations. He also thanked his brother, Sean Gunn, for attending the ceremony and said that “The bridesmaids and groomsmen were awesome.”
Their wedding cake was as gorgeous as the couple themselves, who had custom Funko cake toppers. The wedding cakes were designed based on Gunn’s tuxedo and Holland’s dress.

Gunn shared on his social media that Jennifer Holland didn’t let him see the wedding cake toppers because it would have revealed her dress to Gunn. He appreciated the pastry chefs for doing a great job with the cakes.
The day after the wedding, games were held in the Fields of Dreams at Dunbar Ranch. As James Gunn has directed movies for both Marvel and DC, a Marvel vs. DC softball game was the highlight of the festivities.
The couple’s last collaboration took place on Peacemaker Season 1. Its final episode became the highest-grossing episode of an HBO Max original series. The studio renewed the show for its second season in February. Jennifer Holland starred as Emilia Harcourt on the show alongside John Cena’s titular antihero.
