With its controversial past and precarious present, it would do the DCEU a lot of good if some of its fan-favorite superheroes were to return to the universe. And with the multiple rumors circulating the nearly identical internet, DC may well end up back in the good books of its audience.
Fans speculate that certain actors, especially Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, who are both popular for their respective roles as Batman and Superman, are very likely to return to the DCEU with the universe’s popular villain, Deathstroke.
Fans Suspect Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent and Slade Wilson Return to DC
After Justice LeagueBen Affleck announced his departure as Batman in 2019, and shortly after Henry Cavill was also said to have left the DCEU, thanks to the reported falling out between WB and him.
The news naturally left a pretty uncertain course in its wake for the DCEU. However, there have been plenty of rumors suggesting the two actors’ possible return in future movies. Additionally, speculation has also increased in association with the return of DC supervillain Deathstroke to the franchise, spicing things up for fans.

People believe Affleck’s cameos in Aquaman and the flash could be DC’s idea to build a solid foundation for the revival of his role as Batman.
Cavill’s Superman is also likely making a return to the DCEU, as recently pointed out by an insider on Twitter, who claimed that according to some “reliable sources”Henry Caville was “return.”

Deathstroke Rumored to Return to the DCEU
Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke was last seen in Zack Snyder Justice League in 2021. But after that, the 45-year-old actor confirmed he would no longer be playing the character and had stepped down from the role.
With this information, fans were even more upset, considering that, year after year, actors who played their favorite superheroes seemed to give up like lightning fast.

Luckily, there have been a fair amount of theories recently, highlighting the possible reanimation of all of these characters, including Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, Henry Cavill as Superman, and Ben Affleck as Batman.
Given DC’s current sordid reputation among its fans, it’s pretty plausible to think that these rumors could be true, as this could be a solid way for the DCEU to mend its broken position.
However, no official word on this has yet been released by either the cast or the DCEU.
