Ricegum was raised in Las Vegas by his Chinese mother and Vietnamese father, both of whom came to the United States less than a decade before he was born.

The video was deemed culturally insensitive and disrespectful, and was removed from YouTube for violating its terms of service – Ricegum apologized for his behavior, but most people don’t believe he was being sincere.
