The Disney+ Andor show defied expectations to become a fan favorite star wars project. Each week he shows us the early days of rebellion and oppression caused by the Empire in its austere brutality. And amid his great writing, he occasionally gives fans of the franchise Easter eggs to watch out for. He did the same in episode 10 with a Prequel Trilogy, or more specifically, a reference to Padmé Amidala.

Andor Episode 10 returns to Padmé Amidala

We know that Luther Rael operates an antique shop in the Imperial capital. It’s the perfect disguise that helps him stay hidden while helping the rebellion in its infancy. Its shop is the main center where the salon plants the majority of its Easter eggs.

In episode 10, Luthen and Kleya (his assistant) talk about the mark seen on the fountain. During the conversation, Luther is seen cleaning a metal helmet. Eagle Eyes viewers will know that Padmé Amidala wore a similar one. We see the Naboo Crest headdress on Padmé in Attack of the Clones when disguised after the assassination attempt.

How did the Naboo Crest headdress end up in Luthen’s shop?

Naboo

The events of Andor occur approximately 15 years after the attack of the clones. So why is the headdress in an antique shop? Shouldn’t it be in a museum exhibit? Technically, we don’t even know if this specific headdress even belonged to Padmé.

After all, she wore it to disguise herself on Naboo rather than show off. So it goes without saying that Naboo women must have worn such headdresses for millennia or more as it is part of their culture and tradition. So the headdress could have belonged to an ordinary Naboo woman, and it ended up in Luthen’s shop.

Maybe we’ll get more info on whether this is the same Padmé Amidala headdress job or not in the future. But we’re not holding our breath on it.

Stay tuned for more news.
