Actress Dominique Thorne, who made her MCU debut as Riri Williams, aka Ironheart in wakanda forever, was praised by fans for the way she brought the character to life. Not only is she an important addition to Marvel’s cinematic future, but she’s also a genius, much like Tony Stark himself. The only difference is that she is much younger and not as wealthy as Stark. She recently explained how wakanda forever only showed a fraction of his character in the film.

In an interview with Variety, Dominique Thorne was asked what else we’ll see of her character in Stone heart, the next Disney+ series. Thorne responded in a way that might have excited his fans. She said that wakanda forever only presented”a burst” of Ironheart’s personality. While that suited the movie perfectly, her character will shine much brighter on her own show, not least because the spotlight is on her and not the war between the two worlds.

“We get a little glimpse of the colors that exist in her – we see her as a hustler; we see her as a bit of a bully; we see her fearful; we see it in all these different lights. But above all, she is in a world of confusion. She’s out of her element, completely opposite of her comfort zone, so the Riri we see is a bit of a fight or flight [mode].”

For a start, his chemistry with the other actors and his screen presence were a delight to watch. She perfectly embodied the character of a young girl thrown into something bigger than herself. It will certainly be exciting to see what the teenage super genius looks like during his daily life.

Thorne revealed what her first thoughts were when she received the call that she had been selected for the role. She said it was producer Nate Moore himself who called her and told her the good news. He asked her if she knew the character, and when she answered in the affirmative, he told her his plans for Ironheart.

She added that while she was speechless and stunned, she waited for Moore to give her the details of when and where to audition. However, they never came. He simply asked her “So you wanna do it?” And the rest is history.

Thorne is set to play a much more elaborate version of Riri Williams in her next series. Ironheart has certainly been compared to Iron Man, rightly or wrongly. This means that the expectations of Stone heart will be quite high. What the public saw in wakanda forever, was a preview of the character. More is yet to come.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently in theaters while Stone heart should be released at the end of 2023.
