Zatanna Zatara is a witch who’s been seen quite often in the DC Animated Universe, but maybe it’s high time she made her live-action debut.. Constantine 2 is currently in the works with the return of Keanu Reeves as a Wizard. It’s been years since the actor picked up the trench coat and exorcised demons, and fans have been waiting for the upcoming sequel with growing anticipation. While the first film didn’t do as well, the second would have more creative control, including a possible harsh R rating for the film.
Akiva Goldsman worked extremely hard for this film and for bringing forth ideas that at one point were just fragments in the mind. He previously stated how the film aimed to do, but couldn’t because the studio was against it. This could very well include Zatanna Zatara, the witch who is also John Constantine’s love interest.

Who is Zatanna Zatara, Mistress of Magic?
Daughter of Giovanni “John” Zatara, Zatanna grew from a stage illusionist to a member of Justice League Dark. She is expert in fighting dark magical creatures with her magic and sorcery. She also happens to be the love interest of John Constantine, who met her while studying with her former boyfriend. She later became part of the Justice League Dark as a result of the Enchantress’ evil deeds.

Zatanna is extremely fluid with her spells, which also allows her to recite them backwards. She can even control items as well as disintegrate objects at will. She is also a master of teleportation and divisibility and has the power to heal people as well as herself. All of these abilities further allow him to fly and control the weather. It makes her one of the strongest characters to ever be in DC, so seeing her in the movie could be really interesting.

Fans are asking Zatanna Zatara to be part of Constantine 2
Having Zatanna Zatara in Constantine 2 alongside Keanu Reeves could be very interesting, given the dynamic that could possibly turn between her and John Constantine. It could also affect the level of power fans might see in the next film.

If it’s not the main DCU, leave it alone. I want her in the DCU and it’s better not to have multiple versions that further divide the fan base.

However, it’s still a fan dispute as some want her there while others want her to be part of the DC Universe rather than a part of an eventual standalone movie. They even want to see Matt Ryan reprise his role alongside the character to give them more depth.
