According to the official news, President Joe Biden has confirmed that his administration has ordered as many Antiviral pills from one of the renowned vaccine developer companies in the US, Pfizer. But as per the sources, the US Food and Drug Administration was in favor of Merck and already endorsed the antiviral pills developed by Merck.
President Biden also claimed that the amount of Paxlovid ordered from Pfizer will be able to provide treatment to approximately 10 million American Citizens. As per the company’s official sources, in the clinical trial of the antiviral pills, the company has claimed that its pills are 89 percent effective. The effectiveness of the Paxlovid has been found to be 89 percent and can prevent severe cases of the Covid 19 from hospitalization and deaths.
Many medical researchers have found that antiviral pills will play a very important role in reducing the hospital admissions and death rate in the United States.
