The daily average cases in the United States have surpassed more than 225,000 and it is creating a panic situation amongst the healthcare officials and citizens of the country. The cases are expected to rise further and completely fill the hospital beds.

But after some panic news, there is a ray of hope for the American citizens as the medical experts have found that the omicron variant peak won’t take much time to pass away as seen in South Africa which was the epicenter of the outbreak of this new variant for the world.

As per the research, it has been found that there is an approximately more than 30 percent decrease in the omicron variant cases in South Africa after the peak and the United States is also expecting the same results, although the population of both countries is different and it might take some extra time for the omicron to fade away it’s an infection in the US.

Furthermore, there is also good news that people who are fully vaccinated as well as carry a strong immune system don’t have to stress about this variant.

Although the initial studies have found that the two-dose vaccines are not sufficient enough to handle the infection caused by the omicron version. Also, the severity is less and symptoms are milder but the transmission rate is very high. So, health care officials are stating that booster shots add an extra layer of protection against the new subtype and the combination of two doses and booster shots will be perfect for the immune system to fight for a long time period.

The peak won’t last longer, said medical experts. Also, people with the three doses have fewer chances of getting affected with severe symptoms when compared to the individual who only received only two initial doses of the Covid vaccine. High fatigue levels, high fever, and strong muscle pain are the major symptoms of the omicron variant.

As per the reports, the unvaccinated people are occupying more beds in the hospitals than those who are fully vaccinated with a booster dose.
