The Post-Holiday Travel Won’t Be Much Easier

With the emergence of new variants, omicron and the COVID cases witnessing a spike in the upcoming weeks, the restrictions have become put on gradually. Receiving full vaccination and booster shots have become important especially for those traveling international and even domestic. It is necessary for the citizens to remain cautious and avoid any severe infections as the hospitals are already under a lot of stress due to a shortage of staff.

The Post-Holiday Travel Won’t Be Much Easier

The rate of COVID-19 affected people has increased since the outbreak of a new variant of coronavirus even before the arrival of the holiday season.

The Post-Holiday Travel Won’t Be Much Easier

As per the US CDC reports thousands of American citizens were isolated after the initial checkups at the airports and this led many people to miss the Christmas celebrations with their families.

The pre-holiday season has already seen an increase in the number of cases and this increases the chances of a greater spike in the coming new year holiday season. Just before Christmas Eve, several flights were canceled due to omicron infection affecting the crew members and causing people to struggle for their last-minute flights. All Americans are advised to receive their shots on time to avoid any complications.

The US CDC has amended the travel restrictions and now people have to show the negative report at least 24 hours. The health experts are now claiming that those who traveled for the celebrations now must get vaccinated and receive the booster shots at the earliest. This step is very necessary due to rising cases and it will protect the people from getting severe illnesses stated by one of the health care officials in the US.

The travelers need to follow all the protocols led by the US CDC and the central government. The protection is in the hands of the people itself and taking all precautionary measures must be the duty of everyone, stated Dr. Fauci.

It must be noted that the fully vaccinated people are also on the radar of the omicron variant because the initial two doses are ineffective to fight against the new version of covid 19 and the two doses will never be sufficient and hence people must receive their booster shots as soon as possible.

The hospitalization rate is also increasing gradually with over 9000 average daily admissions in the USA. A surge in hospital admissions is being observed in some parts of the country and has increased the concern for both administration and the health care agencies in the US.

The medical experts are continuously urging the American population to be prepared for the upcoming wave which comprises both omicron and delta versions of coronavirus. It is a must to take the necessary precautions and follow the health directives laid by the White House Administration. You must wear masks every time in public and carry sanitizers with you. Also, washing hands regularly is advised by the health administration.
