A group of researchers found that people infected with the Omicron virus are less likely to get infected with the Delta virus. People Infected With Omicron Are Less Likely To Get Infected With Delta
It has almost been two and half years in, we all are still battling the various varients and viruses. According to the previous study, it was suggested that the delta virus is more harmful, but very recently, the news and people are fighting a new virus known as Omicron. Omicron is proved to be the fastest spreading virus compared to Delta but is less harmful.
Omicron has recently emerged in South Africa but now has been spread all across the world. The world as a whole is under tremendous pressure and stress once again. All the masks that were taken down and thrown away are again taking back their place on people’s faces.
We have evidence from a few studies that the booster shots given to people will only work for ten weeks and not more than that. According to the studies, this booster would be given to people to be safe from omicron and delta virus, but it would not work for more than ten weeks.
Recently, it was suggested by a researcher that omicron infection has boosted up the immunity of people against the delta virus. This is a good sign because the delta virus is the one that has crossed and has overpowered the original Covid-19 virus.
The researchers worked on 15 people to draw the results. They kept 15 people under observation who got infected with Omicron, out of which a few were vaccinated, and the rest were not vaccinated. This test was conducted to see the effect of the delta virus on people who had already got infected with Omicron. Through this study, they found that people who got infected with Omicron have enhanced their immune system.
After a few weeks, the blood sample was taken from these 15 people and was put into a test against omicron and delta virus to see the results. The results of the tests and study were promising and positive. The results suggested that there has been an increase by 14 folds in dealing with Omicron and by 4.4 folds in dealing with delta virus.
As of now, we have 41% of the entire population of the world who got fully vaccinated. We all have seen so many during the past few years, and people have been still trying to cope with all the losses they faced. The last few years were not that easy for people; people have lost their loved ones, jobs, and homes.
A lot of people are still suffering from anxiety and stress. The new normal wasn’t that easy for people to get adjusted with. Humans are social beings, and they need regular touch and a person to understand. Covid-19 left people alone; they had to stay in quarantine for 14 to 20 days.
As of now, there are 90% of covid-19 cases only of the new variant. The rules and regulations of the covid-19 are still the same. According to the researcher, it was suggested that this new variant would be in peak by the end of January. We all still have time to make things work to be safe.
Following the covid protocols, getting vaccinated, wearing masks, sanitizing, avoiding crowded places are key to all these problems. Christmas and new year’s holidays have to lead to the movement of people, which has added more chaos.
