The White House administration has been taking several steps which include, reducing the shortage of medical supplies, health care staff, testing kits, and vaccines.
Last month during a press briefing President Joe Biden announced from the White House that he will be providing the entire population of America with 500 million rapid testing kits so that there should be no shortage of testing facilities in the country.
Furthermore, the medical experts are in dilemma whether the population will receive the testing kits or not as the cases are increasing and the demand for the testing kits are also increasing.
According to the reports available, some states in the USA are continuously raising the issues of shortage of rapid testing kits and medical supplies.
The US Federal Government has already issued a purchase of a fresh batch of more than 50 million testing kits.
On Wednesday morning the Biden Administration also announced that every month 10 million testing kits will be provided to the schools for smooth functioning and it will also help in increasing the vaccination rate amongst the kids.
In the United States, for the past 2 weeks, the cases amongst the kids and younger children are increasing very fast and giving sleepless nights to the parents and medical authorities.
After promising half a billion rapid testing kits, now on Thursday, President Joe Biden has announced that the administration has decided to increase the supply of testing kits to 1 billion after seeing such a high surge in the omicron variant cases in the United States.
These testing kits will be available for free to the entire population. Along with the home-based testing kits, the government has also announced the distribution of N-95 masks to the people of the United States.
President Joe Biden stated that this step has become important if we need to curb the rising cases of the new variant.
While addressing the press at the White House Briefing Room, the situation has become very tough and we all need to stay together and fight against the covid 19 infection and participate more in the vaccination drives and people must encourage themselves and family members to receive booster shots at the earliest because along with the initial 2 doses of vaccines, only booster shots can provide complete protection against the omicron strain of coronavirus in the United States.
