Although during that time the country was getting infected with the initial infection of the covid 19 and the cases started to decrease because of the availability of vaccination in the country as the mortality rate was very high amongst the older citizens and the government offered vaccines to the elder age group of 60 and above.
As per the data available, It has been found that when Biden took over the Presidency, there was no shortage of vaccines in the country, and was easily available. His administration also gave approval to the Johnson and Johnson vaccine so that people must have a wide choice of vaccines and the best part was all the vaccinations were developed domestically giving an extra advantage to the government over the pricing.
Furthermore, the vaccination rate has been reduced in the country if compared with fall time. The cases are increasing very fastly and the Government is just taking steps that are not appropriately claimed by some healthcare officials in the United States. Now as per the reports available, the White House Administration has directed all the medical insurance companies to cover the home testing after the current cases are breaking all the records.
States like New York have started to report reductions in cases and also the positivity rate has fallen below 15 percent which at once time climbed to 25 percent. But some states are still under the havoc of rising cases and have been reporting a record number of daily cases.
President Biden has been keeping an eye on every small and big development being made to curb the rising cases.
Furthermore, President Joe Biden promised to provide every citizen with free testing kits and N-95 masks to safeguard the lives of the citizens. And for this, his authorities have placed an initial order of 51 million rapid testing kits, and to easily avail the benefits, the administration has decided to launch a website where the citizens can easily order free testing kits for Covid 19.
This is also one of the best decisions made by President Biden during his first year of tenure. Although cases are very increasing and his team was also not able to stop the rise in the cases during the fall also.
Again for the Federal Government, reducing the shortage of healthcare staff and medical supplies has become a major problem and the medical experts are calling it the biggest failure of the US medical system and hence claimed that the government has failed to protect its citizens from the attack of the new variant of covid 19.
