The rising cases of omicron variants in the United States have become a major issue for the medical agencies and different state Governments. Major steps are being taken by the White House administration and state authorities to curb the rising cases of coronavirus in the country.
The White House Government Is Ready To Supply Covid Testing Kits
During the initial stage of the outbreak of the new version of covid 19 in the United States, President Biden announced from the White House Press briefing and promised to provide 500 million free of cost rapid testing kits for the entire population so that there should be no shortage of the testing facility in the country and it will help in detecting more and more cases which will lead to a reduction in the cases in the future.
Also, with this, President Biden also stated that his administration has directed all the state authorities to set up more testing facilities in the respective states and New York became the first state to set up 13 testing centers in different counties. Also, the Governor also added 19 SUNY-based testing locations.
Furthermore last week, President Biden again introduced more than 500 million testing kits and made 1 billion rapid testing kits that will be provided for free to the American Population. Along with the kits, he also announced offering N95 masks for the United States population.
For this, the Federal Government has already developed a website where people can order their free home-based antigen testing kits. Although the launch of the site is scheduled for Wednesday, the authorities planned to accept orders from Tuesday itself.
This move has been hailed by many political leaders and medical experts in the country as making testing kits widely available will help people to test themselves and isolate if reports come positive. In case of any severity, they can visit the hospitals for the treatment process.
The website’s name is Covidtests.gov and the White House team has suggested people start ordering and also stated that our technical team is available every time to fix the faults and issues will be resolved in less time if any come.
The President also stated that the postal services have been asked to consider this on an emergency basis and have to focus more on timely delivery of the testing kits in different parts of the country. We believe it will become a successful model and we will succeed surely in curbing the cases and safeguarding the lives of our citizens from the omicron variant covid 19 virus.
It must be noted that there are certain terms and conditions and time frames at which the tests will be delivered. The citizens can only order 4 testing kits at a single address and the stipulated delivery time period is between 7-12 days.
Many states raised concern over the shortage of testing kits and in order to increase the testing more kits were required. This step will reduce the shortages of testing kits in the country.
