The United States is under attack by the Omicron variant of covid 19 for the last 2 months and the cases are increasing every day and the daily average cases are rising.
Republican States Raise Concern Over The Testing Kit Shortage
During the initial stage of the omicron version of coronavirus in the US, President Biden from the stage of the White House announced and promised the American Population to provide them with 500 million of free covid 19 rapid testing kits so that there should be no shortage of testing facilities in the country.
After promising half a billion testing kits, the administration ordered 51 million rapid testing kits and the President also announced that the government will distribute 10 million testing kits to the schools every month so that the schools can function smoothly and the kid’s cases can be curbed easily.
The cases are increasing every day and the seven-day average cases have surpassed more than 800,000 per day in order to curb the rising cases in the nation. It is important to work collectively and follow all the basic rules and regulations laid by the medical agencies and Federal government.
President Biden also stated that his administration has directed all the state authorities to increase the testing facilities so that more and more people in the country can get tested. The State of New York added 13 new locations in different counties.
But there is a positive catch in this and some states have started to report less number of cases as compared to the previous week’s data.
New York, has been the first state reporting around 31 percent fewer cases in the country and has reported less than 50,000 cases which were averaging around more than 90,000 cases on January 2, 2022. Also, the positivity rate has gone down by 50 percent in New York and there is also a considerable amount of reduction in the hospitalization and death rate.
Also, last week during the press briefing President Biden again announced that he will be adding 500 million more testing kits and now the American population will receive a total of 1 billion testing kits in the upcoming months.
According to the reports, some states which are being ruled by the left political leaders have raised concern over the shortage of testing kits and medical supplies in the state.
The White House Administration has stated that millions of testing kits will be delivered to all the states in the upcoming days so that there is no shortage of testing facilities in the country.
Political leaders are claiming that the Central government is playing with the lives of the people of our states and have stopped the delivery of testing kits to the pharmacies and medical agencies.
The federal government has been claiming that we are not playing politics and not even a single order has been frozen and the testing kits will be delivered on time to every state.
