The mandate policies which have been laid by the US federal government in the country have been always facing critical backlashes. During the month of August 2021, President Biden issued a vaccine and testing mandate law for federal workers, healthcare workers, and Central government contractors.
Federal Judge Blocked The Vaccine Mandate Rule For The Employees
According to the mandate rule, these groups needed to receive the vaccination at the earliest. After increasing cases of the delta version and reducing the vaccination rate in the United States, The White House Administration expanded the eligibility of the vaccine mandate rule and added private-sector employees to the list.
As per the rule, large private companies with 100 or more employees on the premises have to follow the law of the vaccine mandate, and now adhering to the rule, the employer will be punished with a fine of $14000 and also the employee will be terminated.
The Biden Administration faced a lot of criticism from the political leaders of the state and employers. The Central Government was taken to court. Almost 25 State authorities and some big private players filed lawsuits against the government.
As per their reports, the State government raised the issue before the judge that this vaccine and testing mandate rules against federalism and will harm the basic rights of the citizens. Also, they claimed that it is a violation of the state laws because the state is responsible to provide medical facilities to its citizens.
On the other hand, Employers targeted the government and stated that this rule will increase the unemployment rate in the country as it is expected that employees will leave the organization if this rule is implemented.
After the hearing, the 6th circuit judges blocked the vaccine mandate rule in the country and President Biden’s aim to achieve a 100 percent vaccination rate in the US was put at a halt.
Although the Supreme court upheld the case and allowed the White House administration to implement the rule. Again the petition was challenged and the supreme court halted the vaccine mandate rule. Also, last week the Supreme Court blocked the vaccine and testing rule for the private companies with 100 and more employees and the decision was pending for the federal employees in the country.
As per the reports available, A federal judge in Texas now blocked the vaccine mandate rule for the federal employees and has blocked all the hopes for President Biden to achieve his target.
Now federal employees can’t be forced to vaccinate against their wishes. As per the rule, if the workers won’t vaccinate themselves they might lose their jobs and it is the basic right of the citizen to receive the vaccine or not, stated by the judge during the judgment.
Many medical experts are stating that it will increase more cases in the country as unvaccinated people are at major risk of getting infected even if they have a strong immunity power.
