UPSC IES Exam; Exam Date and Admit card download, Check Date Sheet And Admit Card On Official Site. Union Public Service Commission has updated a new notification regarding the Indian Engineering Services (IES) examinations.
Union Public Service Commission has opened the portal for downloading the admit card for the IES exam and candidates who have applied for the exam can download their exam admit card from the official page of UPSC, upsc.gov.in.

UPSC opened the application for the IES exam 2022 on September 22, 2021, and the last date to apply for the exam was October 12, 2021. The IES exam preliminary test will be conducted on February 20, 2022, and the admit card will be available on the official website of UPSC till the date of examination.
The exam is scheduled to be conducted in two shifts., morning and evening shift. The morning shift is scheduled from 10 am to 12 pm and the evening shift is scheduled between 2 pm to 5 pm.
The GS and Engineering Aptitude test will be conducted in the morning shift and the discipline-specific will be conducted in the evening shift.
The first two papers will have 2 hours time for examination and the specific discipline paper will have three hours time for examination.
How To Download The Admit Card??
Along with the commencement of the exam date, UPSC has opened the portal to download the admit card for the exam. There will be only one admit card for both the paper and the admit card should be provided at the examination center to enter the exam hall.
Here’s how to download the admit card for the IES exam:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission. The official website address of UPSC is upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the landing page of UPSC, click on the option of admit card which is displayed on the right side of the page.
Step 3: By clicking on the admit card options, you will be taken to a page where admit cards of two options are available. From the two options, click on the option of admit card for various examinations.
Step 3: By clicking on the exam admit card options, a website will be opened where admit card for Engineering Services (preliminary) will be available on top of the list. Click on the download option given in the row of the Engineering Services admit card.
Step 4: After clicking on it, your search engine will open a new website where again you will have to click on the option of ‘to download admit card, click here. The website will display a list of important instructions which you need to download as it is mandatory.
Step 5: Followed by the important instruction page, the page for downloading your admit card will be available where you can log in to your candidate account either by registration ID or roll number that was provided in the confirmation document after you applied for the exam.
The admit card website of UPSC also provides you with technical instructions that you may want to follow if you have trouble with downloading the admit card. If you can’t download the admit card for any reason even after trying the instruction given on the website, you can mail your concern to the UPSC at the earliest.
It is mandatory to take the print of the Important Instructions document and your admit card to admit to the examination center. You also have to carry an original photo ID card with the admit card.
Failing to submit any of these documents, candidates will not be able to attend their exam. The test center allotted to you will be mentioned in the admit card and candidates needs to reach the center of examination at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. Anyone who fails to do so will not be able to write their exam.
The examination will be objective type and the result of the exam will be released in April 2022. You have to keep your e-admit card copy till the result is announced.
Only candidates who passed the test will be able to write the main exam, and then only after passing the main text, will the candidates be able to attend the personality interview.
