Jordan Morgan, former lawmaker Wesley Morgan’s daughter was found shot and killed in her sleep in Richmond on Tuesday early morning. The incident happened after the killer invaded Wesley Morgan’s home situated in the 1200 block of Willis Branch Road.
Jordan Morgan’s father Wesley Morgan and his wife are also wounded and have been taken to hospital. Police have reported that the neighbors of 1200 block of Willis Branch Road were asleep when they heard fire shots in the neighborhood.
On Thursday, Kentucky police officials have released the identity of the suspect and the suspect is a 23-year-old male from Taylor Mill named Shanon Vincent Gilday.

According to Sgt. Robert Purdy, a spokesman of Kentucky police officials, Shanon Vincent Gilday entered Wesley Morgan’s home on at Tuesday 4:00 AM. Shanon Vincent Gilday entered Jordan Morgan’s room and shot her in sleep.
After killing Jordan Morgan, the suspect entered Wesley Morgan’s morgan and confronted Morgan which led to an exchange of gunfire.
When the gunfire began between the two parties, Shanon Vincent Gilday fled from the home. The Kentucky Police officials have also said that the motive behind the killing is still unknown but also added that the incident doesn’t look like a usual burglary.
Jordan Morgan was shot multiple times and was dead at the moment itself.
Shanon Vincent Gilday was named the suspect on Thursday by the Kentucky police department and the officials are still on the hunt for Shanon Vincent Gilday. Shanon Vincent Gilday, the 23-year old male had no history of any crimes or illegal activities.
Shanon Vincent Gilday is wanted and charged with murder, murder attempts, burglary, and assaults. Shanon Vincent Gilday who is still in hiding is considered to be dangerous and might be armed. The Kentucky Police Officials has also released details of Gilday so that he can be identified by common people.
The suspect is believed to be 6 feet tall and 167 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. Gilday was last seen driving a White 2016 Corolla with the license plate 379-VMJ.

Morgan is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky and got her law degree from Northern Kentucky University. In the year 2017, Morgan was in the news when she received an inappropriate text from a House Republican, and the message involved a sexual harassment settlement.
Jordan Morgan was also the assistant commonwealth’s lawyer in Boone and Gallatin counties. Jordan Morgan joined the Reminger Law Office one week before her death.
Jordan Morgan’s father Wesley Morgan is a former lawmaker and was a state representative for Richmond and Berea in Madison County in the year 2018. Morgan and his wife were injured exchange in the incident of gunshots and were taken to the hospital.
Both of them are hospitalized and when police enquired Wesley Morgan about the incident he declined to comment or reveal any details about it.
