Ben Affleck was nominated for his excellent role in the film titled “The tender Bar”. It featured the character of Charlie Maguire, a small-town bartender who protects and makes his 9- year old nephew happy. The boy gives a father figure for Ben’s character who raises him under his wing. This George Clooney-directed film is an adaptation of J.R Moehringer’s 2005 memoirs.
The film also gained popularity and even received positive comments from Ben’s girlfriend and the superstar singer Jennifer Lopez. In January, she shared her viewpoint to her Instagram followers, “There is a great scene with Ben and the little boy in a bowling alley, Ben plays his uncle and they are both amazing in the movie. If you haven’t seen it, you should.”
Although Ben Affleck is a passionate actor, he gives primary importance to his family. That’s why he attended Samuel’s birthday celebration despite the award nomination. Samuel, 10 is one of the three kids of Ben which she shared with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Along with Samuel, they have two daughters named Violet, 16, and Seraphina, 13. Ben and Garner were married in the year 2005 and they separated in 2018. Now, Ben is dating his girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. But, he and Garner continued to be good co-parents for their three children.
In this situation, many media outlets recalled Ben’s words about parenting which he had given during an interview of the film “The Tender Bar” itself. “It’s about the importance and power of parenting kids, and fatherhood and family, whatever that looks like.
It’s not about perfect people doing things perfectly, it’s about a lot of people with a lot of struggles trying to go through things but who understand and want to provide that basic love and support to this young guy.”.
