Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman raise their voice against Russian president Vladimir Putin by saying “F*ck off” and showing maximum support to Ukraine.
They yell from the stage of Independent Spirit Awards 2022 that took place in Santa Monica, Calif. The hosts Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman gave “best wishes” to Ukraine as Russia did not stop the Ukraine invasion.
Mullally said, “I think we speak for everyone here when we say that we are hoping for a quick, peaceful resolution. Specifically, f*ck off and go home, Putin!” Then Mullally along with Offerman show up their middle fingers to the camera.

Then Offerman added, “We hope Putin f*cks off and goes home, and to that end let’s all join together with a Spirit Awards to salute to Putin”. The audience got excited and showed their response too through their cheers and applause.
“Great organizations are raising money for Ukraine. Please give what you can to give to the victims of this senseless act of aggression”, Mullally added these words too from the Spirit Award stage.
Recently many international film and TV organizations are supporting Ukraine with various initiatives. Many members in the film industry have used their social media accounts to show their support for Ukraine.
The Studios including Disney, Warner Bros, and Sony stop the upcoming releases in Russia. Besides, it is reported that Netflix is pausing all of its production and other works in Russia while Netflix’s chairman, co-founder, and co-CEO announced a $1 million donation to a Ukraine relief organization.
Apart from Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman, many actors and actresses also showed their support to Ukraine while attending the Spirit Awards. Ruth Negga who won the best supporting female actress 2022 showed their support through her virtual, pre-taped acceptance speech.
She added that she would like to “express her solidarity with Ukraine”. In addition, Eduard Grau who won the best cinematographer award expressed his emotion by saying, “he could not imagine what it would mean for us to be running away from our homes like the Ukrainians that are at war right now.”
“I want to express my support to the Ukrainian population and for a diplomatic and peaceful resolution to this horrible, horrible situation for so many”, best feature presenter and actor Javier Bardem added.
Many international film festivals such as Cannes banned Russian state-backed films from their upcoming programs while a few other festivals including Toronto have announced partial boycotts of the Russian films.
