Kelly Clarkson paid her tribute to Dolly Parton by singing Dolly’s most famous song “I Will Always You” and Clarkson made the Dolly Patron herself giving a standing ovation to her along with everyone present at the ACM Awards 2022.

Dolly Parton who was hosting the show went on to the stage to hug Kelly Clarkson after Kelly’s performance and they both embraced each other. Parton said, “ I was backstage trying not to cry my false eyelashes off, and slinging snot every direction, and tears”.
Parton also paid homage to one of the greatest singers of all time Whitney Houston who also sang the song by saying, “ I know that Whitney is smiling down tonight”. Dolly Parton also praised Kelly Clarkson by saying that Kelly is one of the greatest singers in the world which made Kelly shed her happy tears.
The 57th Academy of Country Music Awards was held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on 7th March night. The show was filled with performances by many singers including The Brothers Osborne and Ashley McBride. The Award night was live premiered on Amazon Prime Video.

The song was a huge success and also reached the top position in the Billboard Hot Country Songs list. Famous singer, Whitney Houston recorded a rendition of the song for the movie “The Bodyguard” and Houston’s version of the song was also a great success.
