With a whopping $124.2 Million overseas, Batman seems Warner Bros’ best in the pandemic era. The U.K. is on top of the overseas market contributing about $19 million, followed by Mexico and Australia. Globally, the movie made around $258.2 million and the movie could easily cross $130 million overseas in a day. Batman is heading towards the $1 billion mark and is not seeming to slow down.

The movie hit theatres with a $134 million opening with shows in 4417 theatres across US and Canada becoming the second pandemic movie to cross the $100 million mark. Matt Reeves crushed his previous highest-grossing Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes which produced $73 with DC Films’ The Batman.
‘The Batman’ wholly dominated the overseas territories making the 2nd running Uncharted very small as it only made $28.4 million. Batman accounted for 76% of the market earned by the top 10 titles. The movie missed out on the Russian box office as Warner Bros and many major studios withdrew from the territories.
‘The Batman’ delivers $22.3 million worldwide in IMAX. The movie reeled in 320 IMAX screens in 74 overseas markets. Sweden, Belgium, Argentina, and Curacao saw their best-ever IMAX DC launch ever and 13 others with their 2nd best. Also, the presales for the movie were unimaginably strong the whole weekend.
The movie beats all the expectations of the viewers as the film was made in a different way compared to the Dark Knight franchise directed by the legendary Christopher Nolan.
