Chloe X Halle Bailey Talks About Impostor Syndrome And Self Doubting
In a recent interview, the sisters talked about the influence and impact they have on each other and how it helps them to grow in their careers when they feel insecure about themselves.
Halle Bailey, who has been suffering from impostor syndrome said, “It just feels so surreal to be doing meetings [with] all these people that I’m such big fans of and sometimes you feel like you have imposter syndrome”.
Halle also said that her sister Chloe has helped her through the impostor syndrome and always made her feel worthy by saying, “ Chlöe was lifting my spirits up the other day like, ‘No, you’re meant to be in there too.’ I think that’s just so powerful and so special to have someone like her in my life where she can just remind me of that.”
Halle also said that her sister Chloe empowers he every day by being just herself and watching how hard she works. She also added that she had a great example from Chloe of what she wanted to be and what impact she would want on people.
Chloe Bailey reciprocated Halle’s emotion towards her and said that she can count on Halle whenever she is feeling unsure. “Anytime I’m feeling discouraged, or like if I’m doubting myself, Halle will be the first one to make me snap out of it.
I’m so grateful to be on this journey of life with her, because there are so many moments where I do doubt myself and my capabilities. Having someone who knows every single bit and piece of me encourages me, it means the world every single time.”
Chloe and Halle Bailey started out their career by posting covers on YouTube and was later recognized by Beyonce. Beyonce signed the sister to her label Parkwood Entertainment and then the sisters released two albums and both were nominated for Grammy awards.
The last album the sister released was Ungoldly hour and a music video of the album title song was released in 2021 and has gained 7.9M views. The sisters have always been encouraging each other and have been against any comparisons that people put between them.
